Amon-Ra St. Brown will miss Friday practice per Campbell, Branch update
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

After missing Wednesday and Thursday's practice, Detroit Lions Pro Bowl receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown won't practice again on Friday per Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell.

"I don't think we're gonna practice him today, either. We're gonna continue to work with him on the side and I think tomorrow is going to tell us a lot." Campbell said. "I don't want to push it today. So I think we'll know a lot more after tomorrow morning.

This is something that happened during the game and he was able to finish that game, you know, and then like a lot of these injuries man, you can get through and then you know, the irritation begins. No different than kind of what had happened to Decker, you know, he was able to get through that Kansas City game, but then it's the residual effect you know. That's what happens with a lot of these guys."

St. Brown said on Thursday that it was his goal to play on Sunday and that he was feeling pretty good, but the team seems to want to play it very safe with him before throwing him into the game.

As for rookie Brian Branch, It looks he's going to miss this game on Sunday. Campbell said he didn't feel too good about him playing Sunday and that they were hopeful about Tampa. Campbell also said that the injury wasn't a long term one.

Lastly, Campbell said that the team was hopeful to get Halapoulivaati Vaitai back for this game "in some capacity." Sounds like he could possibly be back, but won't start the game and could be on a snap count. We'll see.

The Lions have not yet released their injury report and designations yet. We'll update this article as soon as they come out.
