Day one of the legal negotiating period was insane for the Green Bay Packers. They released left tackle David Bakhtiari and running back Aaron Jones, agreed to terms with running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney, and re-signed tight end Tyler Davis. Guard Jon Runyan Jr. is set to sign with the New York Giants, and safety Darnell Savage went to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
That's a lot.
But it's far from over yet, since the new league year hasn't even begun yet. And there are plenty of options still available on the market.
The Packers can still use more reinforcements, especially if the market calms down and pieces become more affordable.

LB Jerome Baker, Miami Dolphins
The Packers need a linebacker after cutting De'Vondre Campbell. Malik Harrison is back with the Baltimore Ravens, and more expensive options like Frankie Luvu (Washington Commanders), Azeez Al-Shaair (Houston Texans), Jordyn Brooks (Miami Dolphins), and Blake Cashman (Minnesota Vikings) are off the board. Baker played under Anthony Campanile, who's now the Packers linebackers coach and run game coordinator.
S Quandre Diggs, Seattle Seahawks
The Packers signed Xavier McKinney, but they could certainly use another starting safety. Diggs is a less expensive and decent option. Even better, he wouldn't count towards the compensatory pick formula because he was released by the Seahawks.
S Budda Baker, Arizona Cardinals
Baker is slightly older for what the Packers are trying to build, but he is still a quality starter and could make sense as a short-term option. The Packers were interested in him as a trade target last year.
S Rayshawn Jenkins, Jacksonville Jaguars
Another safety option. He is slated to visit the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers.
S Jeremy Chinn, Carolina Panthers
Ok, just one more safety. Chinn was a great prospect, but he hasn't realized his potential in the NFL. But the Panthers are not a great franchise to utilize the talents of their pieces, so he might deserve another chance for the right price.
CB Kenny Moore, Indianapolis Colts
The Packers can certainly use a slot corner upgrade, even if they bring Keisean Nixon back.
LB Eric Kendricks, Los Angeles Chargers
Kendricks is older and is not in his prime anymore, but he's still a useful, experienced, and solid linebacker, especially in coverage.
RB Nyheim Hines, Buffalo Bills
Josh Jacobs is a heavier, tough runner. Hines could be more of a rotational, pass-catching option. He has been in the NFL since 2018, and he has more receiving yards (1,778) than rushing yards (1,202).
RB JK Dobbins, Baltimore Ravens
That one only makes sense for something close to the minimum as a flier, and the Packers couldn't count on him getting back on track. Dobbins is an incredibly talented player, but he has played only eight games over the last three years because of a sequence of serious injuries: torn ACL in 2021, another knee injury in 2022, and a torn Achilles in 2023. But if (and it's a big if) he can get healthy, it could be a lucrative bet for Green Bay.
G Kevin Zeitler, Baltimore Ravens
Right now, the Packers starting right guard is Sean Rhyan. That's suboptimal. And the interior offensive lineman market is out of control. Green Bay will probably look for a solution in the draft, like they always do, but a short-term solution like Zeitler wouldn't be a bad idea. Over the last decade, the Packers have done similar moves with Jahri Evans and Byron Bell.
