The Kansas City Chiefs are a dynasty and have completed the greatest five-year stretch of any team in NFL history. They struggled on offense all year, but when they needed to score most, it was none other than Patrick Mahomes and the offense to end the game.
The defense carried the weight of the team on their shoulders all season long, but the offense finished the season the way only the Chiefs know how to. How did they do it on offense? Well, they ran the ball down the San Francisco 49ers throats when they needed to most. That required Isiah Pacheco to do what he does best - run people over, and he did just that.
Pacheco may have been the Chiefs' second-best offensive player on Sunday, which is almost something we are used to seeing now with how consistent of a runner he is. But, in this game, he played differently. He played with much more fire.
"This is for my brother and sister; I've lost two of them, so that's two for two for you," Pacheco said after the game.
Pacheco finished with 18 carries for 59 yards on the ground and had six catches for 33 yards. And let's not forget how big of a factor he is in the pass-blocking department as well. He was as big of a part as anyone else on the team not named Patrick Mahomes.
Then, you add in the fact that he was playing for the reason he was playing, and the emotions start to flow. Pacheco isn't a guy who usually shows any emotion other than angry running, but you know this one was special for him.
