In 2023, Marquez Valdes-Scantling had an abysmal regular season. Then again, everyone on the Kansas City Chiefs receiver corps did, but Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice. However, MVS will always be remembered as a Super Bowl champion for the Kansas City Chiefs, a two-time Super Bowl champion.

He consistently made huge plays in the postseason, but as it often happens in the league, his time with the Chiefs had to end. The fit wasn't right anymore, and he likely needed a change of scenery.

So, the Chiefs let him go, and now he's a free agent. We haven't really heard much about the Super Bowl champions' free agency lucky so far, that is, until Friday.

ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler said the following on NFL Live Friday:

"I'm told they [Los Angeles Chargers] have some interest and are looking for a speed receiver out there," Fowler said. "Jacksonville. He lives in that area. They're looking for an extra piece, so he'll have some suitors who could shake out in the next few weeks at a signing."

MVS finished his Chiefs' career with 1,002 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and two Super Bowl rings. Now, he could be playing the Chiefs twice a year.
