The Las Vegas Raiders are owned by one of the most historic families in football. A long, long time ago, Al Davis, a pioneer of the game, owned and even coached the Raiders.

Now, obviously, it's the son of Al Davis, Mark Davis, who is trying to follow in his father's footsteps. But there is one problem—Mark hasn't been successful in doing it or even come close.

Al Davis won three Super Bowls, which is very hard to win. Since Mark Davis took over in 2011, the Raiders have been a bad team most of the time and haven't been elite in a very long time. Their last playoff win was 20 years ago, just for reference.

So, with the failure, Mark Davis noticed he needed help but would never sell the team. The Raiders have to be owned by someone in the Davis family. But that doesn't mean he can't have people help him and join the ownership group. He has already had one person try to join, but the NFL hasn't decided yet.

However, we do have an update on Mr. Tom Brady trying to become a part owner of the team he beat in one of the most controversial calls of all time - the tuck rule.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the NFL is 'making progress' in making a decision about Brady.

Brady joining the ownership would help Davis a ton, especially when it comes to making football financial decisions. Obviously, Al Davis knew everything there was to know about football, but Mark wasn't there with the game. So, having Brady would certainly help. And, hey, this is the greatest football player we are talking about here.
