The Philadelphia Eagles head into Christmas Day with a 10-4 record and are trying to retain the outright lead in the NFC East. They face the New York Giants at home. This is great news for Eagles RB Boston Scott because of this current touchdown trend.

Boston Scott Scores Touchdowns Against the Giants

Boston Scott has been active in Eagles games when they play the Giants for the last four years. In those eight games, Boston Scott has managed to score a touchdown in every single game. This has led to 10 career touchdowns against the Giants.

Bettors Love Boston Scott Today

Due to the information above, Boston Scott’s touchdown streak against the Giants has gone viral. Just how popular is it? According to John Ewing of BetMGM, it is the second-most popular Christmas game bet today. The odds of him scoring a touchdown at any point during the Eagles-Giants game today is +325.

Boston Scott’s Career Numbers

When you look at Scott’s career numbers, this is nothing short of a miracle. Why is that? For starters, he only has 17 total touchdowns in his NFL career. That means more than half of his career touchdowns have come against the New York Giants.

However, his career numbers are not the only numbers shocking about this. Scott has not been reliable for the Philadelphia Eagles at all this year. Yet, bettors do not seem to care.

Scott does not even have a touchdown in the 2023 NFL season. Plus, he has 78 total rushing yards in the entire 2023 NFL season! If that was not enough, he is coming off of a game where he had zero rushing yards.

The numbers listed above do not instill much faith that Scott is reliable enough to score a touchdown today. Yet, bettors seem to believe that the crazy scoring trend against the Giants will play out.

Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants Rushing Trends

Do any trends help Scott’s chances today? Well, there is one thing worth noting that can give bettors some hope.

The Eagles are ninth in the NFL in rushing yards per game (128.3). On top of this, the Giants have had a poor rushing defense this season. They rank 29th in rushing yards allowed per game (131.6). Now, we will have to see if Philadelphia can take advantage of this.
