Rihanna's rental house for the Super Bowl was an absolute palace

When you have an opportunity to play the Super Bowl halftime show you want to make sure you go all out on everything that comes with it.

That is exactly what Rihanna did for her trip to Arizona to play Super Bowl LVII, reportedly dropping over $500,000 on a palace of a rental house in the desert.

TMZ Sports reported on Thursday that Rihanna spent six nights in a Paradise Valley mansion that came with an $85,000 per night price tag. Do the math on that, and that comes out to $510,000 for the week. That is more than most people will spend on a house -- even a very nice house! -- in most of the country.

You can check out some of the photos from the house here

The house featured five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living rooms, a private gym, and a walk-in wine cellar all covering over 6,300 square feet.

In other words, she was not staying at a random Glendale hotel. And when you are worth an estimated $1.4 billion and get asked to play the biggest music event of the year, you can afford to drop six figures on a six night stay at a luxurious sprawling mansion. Why wouldn't you?

Most Super Bowl performers do not get paid for their halftime show performances, with the NFL instead covering travel and production costs for the show. It also brings a significant short-term boost in exposure, with recent artists seeing massive spikes in their streaming numbers after playing the NFL's biggest game.
