Analyst Bullish On Chiefs' Offense In 2025
© Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

It isn't often in the Patrick Mahomes/Andy Reid era that the Kansas City Chiefs' offense has been doubted as much as it has this offseason.

Question marks over the offensive line, running back, and even at receiver, the Chiefs have to prove a lot of people wrong this upcoming season to show that they are still the apex predator in the NFL.

Some think the dynasty is over, while others believe the Chiefs will bounce back, but the offensive question marks are too loud to ignore for some.

But not FS1's Chris Broussard, who thinks the offense is going to be rolling.

"They'll be fine," Broussard said on First Things First. "They'll be totally fine. Last year, their best receiver, Rasheed, missed 13 games, their second-best receiver, Hollywood Brown, missed 15 games. Their rookie receiver, who was so small that he was kind of sort of a project just because he's so small, even though he's got blazing speed and he was very good as a rookie, and they still went 15 and two with an offensive line that was a bit shaky with their best running back missing half the season Isaiah Pacheco."

The big thing here is that Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown will both be back fully healthy and hopefully be able to play together. Granted, Rice's off-field issues might see him suspended for around four games, but still, there is more than enough talent to suggest the Chiefs' offense will be ok.

That hasn't stopped the skeptics, though, with the offensive line issues still a big red flag. Can Jaylon Moore and Josh Simmons nail down the left-hand side along with guard Kingsley Suamataia? Because it doesn't matter who your receivers are, if Mahomes doesn't have time to throw, it's problematic.

Many are skeptical of the Chiefs' offense heading into the new season, but like Broussard, we think that with Mahomes and Reid, the unit is going to be just fine in 2025.
