Analyst calls Raven 'the most impressive rookie' he's seen

Praise for one of the Ravens' rookies continues up pile in after NBC Sports' Peter King visited Baltimore and shared his thoughts.

"The most impressive rookie I have seen in six camps is Zay Flowers. Why? He lines up across from a corner, and unless they literally interfere with him or hold him, he has tremendous separation on almost every cut. His quickness, his speed out of cuts is going to be a thing to watch in the NFL this year," King said, via Sarah Ellison.

Flowers has continued to impress after being drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft (22nd overall). The 22-year-old has already received comparisons to great receivers such as Antonio Brown, DeSean Jackson and Stefon Diggs.

At Boston College, Flowers had 78 catches for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2022 and Pro Football Focus called him the "best pure separator in the draft class."

Baltimore also added wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor to its new-look group this offseason, but reports seem to hint that Flowers will get opportunities early and often to start the season.

Flowers certainly doesn't lack any confidence.

"Anytime I touch the ball, I feel like I can score," Flowers said after being drafted.

The rookie is ready to take the league by storm and fans are excited to see him in action when the Ravens host the Eagles on Saturday for the team's first preseason game of 2023.
