Analyst Predicts Green Bay Packers to Improve in 2024
Mark Hoffman?Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

With the NFL Schedule being released, Bleacher Report recently made their predictions about the win-loss record for the Green Bay Packers.

After a strong second half of the season and playoff run, the Green Bay Packers are coming into the 2024 season with a lot of expectations to compete in the NFC. While many had written the Packers off early, they were able to go 7-3 in their last 10 games to finish with a 9-8 record and make the playoffs.

In the playoffs, the Packers then took out the Dallas Cowboys in convincing fashion, and then nearly beat the San Francisco 49ers on the road the following week. With a lot of hype going into the 2024 season, Bleacher Report recently predicted that the Packers would improve upon their win-loss record. Here’s what they had to say.

If the Packers defense, which is loaded with recent first-round picks, plays up its full potential under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, this team should win 10 or more games.

2024 Prediction: 10-7

Seeing the Packers reach the 10-win mark this season makes a lot of sense after they won nine games last season. The offense for the Packers could very well become one of the best in the league with Jordan Love entering his second full season as a starting quarterback. Also, they added Josh Jacobs in free agency to help bolster their rushing attack.

On the defensive side of the ball, however, is where the Packers’ season will be made or broken. This offseason, the Packers used a ton of their draft picks to hopefully help sure up their secondary, and as mentioned there are a lot of former first-round picks on the defense. If the defense can improve a bit, that will help the Packers improve without a doubt.

While the Green Bay Packers certainly have the talent, they are in what appears to be a tough division in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions are certainly contenders in the NFC, and the Chicago Bears are hoping to compete for a playoff spot with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.

After a 9-win season last year, the Packers should certainly be able to hit double-digit wins this season.
