Analyst raises apprehension over prominent Commanders' free-agent signing

The Washington Commanders need their new signings to hit the ground running in 2024. New general manager Adam Peters turned over almost 50 percent of his roster in pursuit of brighter fortunes for this struggling franchise. That doesn't guarantee success, but it's not a bad place to start. There is much more work ahead for Peters, he'll be the first to admit that. But if the more experienced figures acquired throughout a frantic recruitment period make an immediate difference, it will set the Commanders up nicely during Year 1 of head coach Dan Quinn's tenure. One of the most established veterans came into the organization relatively early. Zach Ertz signed a one-year deal to reunite with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
