Analyst Reveals Packers Free Agency, Draft Grades
Mark Hoffman/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

With the NFL Draft complete and the offseason to a close, Bleacher Report recently handed out their offseason grades for all 32 NFL teams. For the Green Bay Packers, they did quite well.

The Green Bay Packers come into the 2024 season with some high hopes after a good 2023 season, which included a win in the playoffs. Even though some thought a rebuild might be happening after the team traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, his replacement Jordan Love and the franchise had other things in mind.

With a great young core of talent, the Packers are poised to be even better this coming season. Recently, Bleacher Report handed out offseason grades for all 32 teams in the league. The Green Bay Packers received some solid marks across a few categories for the offseason. Here’s what B/R had to say.

  • Free Agency, Trade Grade: B-
  • Draft Grade: B
  • EC Project: Adding Pieces to Win Now
  • Overall Grade: B
  • Green Bay didn’t experience a ton of roster turnover this offseason, but even incremental improvement could have the Packers knocking on the door of the Super Bowl. If Love can build on his 2023 success, the Packers could be poised to kick it in.

Seeing some solid grades in the draft and free agency should please Packers fans as the franchise looks to not only win now but to continue to grow as a young franchise. In free agency, arguably the biggest signing was running back Josh Jacobs, who came in to replace Aaron Jones.

In the secondary, Xavier McKinney is a very solid player at the safety position, as he will be looking to lead a young group of safeties that the team drafted.

Overall between the draft and free agency, it was a really solid offseason for the Green Bay Packers. While the team is expected to get better just based on experience in the league for the young core, they also added some nice pieces to help ensure a winning season.
