Analyst reveals trade probability for Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux

John Harbaugh has been forced to make a lot of tough decisions for the New York Giants this season. That's what happens when you step into a 4-13 team and are expected to turn it around.

Now, Harbaugh is looking at the current Giants roster. Even though he's already done a lot with this roster, notably trading Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals, he could shake things up and work out more trades.

Now, one NFL analyst believes Harbaugh and the Giants will entertain the idea of parting with one of their defensive stars.

New York Giants trading Kayvon Thibodeaux may be unlikely

In a feature published on Thursday, Moe Moton of Bleacher Report states that Giants edge-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux could be traded. That makes sense, though he doesn't think this is likely to happen. He has the trade probability meter at a three, which isn't very high.

He notes that there have been a handful of teams reportedly interested in the edge-rusher. But, there are issues.

"Productive pass-rushers will always be in demand, but Thibodeaux has seen a significant drop-off in sacks and pressures since his standout 2023 campaign," he notes. "Furthermore, over the last two seasons, he's missed 12 games because of injuries."

Ultimately, he believes Thibodeaux will likely stay with the Giants "past the roster cuts deadline."

"The Giants' reported asking price is way too high for a player whose production has declined over the past two seasons," he adds.

It's true that Harbaugh will probably want more than he can get for Thibodeaux. But, he's still one of the Giants' only real trade chips at the moment.
