Andy Reid On Track To Break Bill Belichick's Playoff Record

Andy Reid has done so many remarkable things as an NFL head coach.

His offenses have been phenomenal in Philadelphia and Kansas City and he's also been one heck of a leader. There's a reason why so many players rave about him every year.

He coached the Eagles for 14 seasons and is in his 12th season with the Chiefs after they hired him after the 2012 season ended.

Reid has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl titles and is on the cusp of a fourth next Sunday. The Chiefs will play his former team in Super Bowl LIX on February 9.

He's fourth among all head coaches in total wins, including the playoffs with 301, and Mike Golic thinks Reid will break Bill Belichick's all-time postseason win record.

"I don't think Andy Reid gets talked about enough. We talk about Mahomes, he's a Hall of Famer already. Travis Kelce, a Hall of Famer. ... But Andy Reid, not Bill Belichick, Andy Reid is going to end up (getting) the all-time winning playoff games record. He's only a couple of games from Belichick, he's going to blow behind him in that. I think he's at 301 (wins) and (Don) Shula is at 347, that's four years of 12-win teams, which I think he can do," Golic said.

Golic is correct with the numbers. Reid has 301 combined wins between the regular season and playoffs and is 47 wins away from passing Shula for the most wins in NFL history.

Reid has 27 playoff wins, only four behind Belichick for that record. If he wins Super Bowl LIX, he'll be three wins away from tying the record and four from breaking it.

If he keeps winning like he has the last several seasons, he'll break both records in no time.
