Antonio Brown's glove from 'meltdown game' up for auction

The right glove that Antonio Brown threw into the stands during his bizarre exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is now up for auction.

The glove was posted on Lelands Sports Memorabilia and Card Auctions over the weekend. Bidding started at $81 and had increased to $310 as of Monday morning.

"The glove is a tangible memento from an iconic NFL moment," the seller says at the end of a detailed account of the January 2 matchup between the Buccaneers and the New York Jets in which Brown stripped down to his shorts on the sidelines and exited the field in grand fashion.

The description on Lelands also details how the glove features a blacked-out Oakland Raiders logo from Brown's brief stint with the now-Las Vegas-based team. The Raiders released Brown before he played a single game for them following a confrontation with former GM Mike Mayock.

The auction is just the latest event to spawn from Brown's crazy departure from Tampa Bay in early January. Last week, Brown and his lawyer, Sean Burstyn, appeared on "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" and said they plan to seek legal action against the Buccaneers. Burstyn said in the interview that Brown was forced to inject painkillers in order to play for the team and that he and Brown are also looking to file a defamation suit against the Bucs because of how Brown's exit from the team was portrayed.

Brown added in the interview that the Buccaneers offered him money to go to a mental institution.

The Buccaneers, for their part, have not commented publicly on Brown's side of the story since they released him from his contract with the team. Shortly after his release, however, Bucs general manager Jason Licht told ESPN that Brown had requested a week prior to the "meltdown game" that $2 million of his contract be guaranteed. Tampa Bay denied the request.

Brown says he still plans to play in the NFL next season.
