Antonio Pierce is done with the old ways of the Raiders and their quarterback problems
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders have some very important decisions to make in this upcoming NFL draft,m but it all depends on what they can do to determine what they will do if that makes sense. If the Raiders can trade up high enough, they will go with a quarterback. If not, they may take a different position at pick 13 and go QB in the second round.

Then again, when you think about it, this is the NFL, and we really don't know what will happen. For all we know, the Raiders could find a way to get the No. 1 pick from the Chicago Bears, or they could even trade out of the top 13 for more picks.

Either way, no matter what they do, it's evident they need a change when it comes to the face of the franchise. No, I'm not saying Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams need to be gone. They need a quarterback to be the face of the franchise. When Antonio Pierce, the Raiders' new head coach, was asked about getting a quarterback, he had the perfect reply.

"You don't want to put a Band-Aid at that position," Pierce told the media earlier this week. "That's old, man. I think the Raiders, we've seen that enough in this organization. You want the face of your franchise to be the quarterback, to be that guy you can count on for the next ten years."

From everything we have heard all offseason when you factor in reports and what the coach and general manager have said, it sounds like they are going to be super aggressive to get that franchise quarterback they so desperately need. And, Antonio Pierce isn't sugarcoating anything - he's going to get what the fan base wants.
