Are Any Bucs Ruled Out For The Super Wild Card Round?

The only players that were not seen was left guard Nick Leverett, who had also missed Friday’s practice. The other elephant in the room is Jensen, who the Bucs need to make a decision on whether to activate him very soon.

Todd Bowles answered if anyone is officially out for Monday’s postseason game.

“Haven’t ruled anybody out,” Bowles said. “Everybody’s available. We’ll see who’s the healthiest and we’ll talk about it and make that decision.”

Bowles then specifically responded to how Leverett is feeling.

“They’re all sore,” Bowles said of Leverett and the whole roster. “They got two and a half more days to go. We’ll give it time, we got to make that decision probably the day of the game.”

Could Jensen Or Hainsey Replace Leverett At Guard For The Bucs?

Tampa Bay might find themselves in a scenario where Leverett can’t play but Jensen is ready enough for it. Could Jensen or Hainsey go in at guard with the other at center. Jensen has started at guard for the Bucs before back in the 2020 season in a game on the road against the Panthers. Hainsey was believed to be in the training camp competition for starting guard, but Jensen got injured during the second day and those plans quickly changed.

The Bucs also have the option of starting rookie Luke Goedeke back at left guard. He began the season as the starter but struggled heavily. After missing some games with an injury, his starting position was never reclaimed. Goedeke did start at right tackle in the Week 18 finale, but that’s a tall task to have him switch to a different position again for a winner-take-all game.

Bowles needs a little more time to think on that one when it comes to that decision of who to play.

“It’s still too early,” Bowles said. “We’ll make those decisions as we go probably on Monday.”
