GLENDALE –The Arizona Cardinals are reaping the benefits of spending big money this offseason heading into the 2025-2026 season. The franchise is confident after a stellar offseason, signing Pro-Bowler edge Josh Sweat and other key defensive additions with defensive linemen L.J. Collier and Dalvin Tomlinson. Those moves have solidified the defense and showcased to the community that the front office is willing to spend the money to compete. The fans’ response to that is a massive 50% increase in season tickets and a 90% renewal rate for next year, according to Phoenix Business Journal.
The numbers for season tickets are the highest it’s been in over a decade because of the franchise’s commitment to winning. Off back-to-back four-win seasons, fans were desperate for a glimmer of hope from a team that has shown none. Entering the second season under head coach Jonathan Gannon, the Cardinals were moving in the right direction.
Drafting superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., getting a healthy season from Kyler Murray, and the arrival to superstardom for tight end Trey McBride. The offense was churning along, while a defense that struggled with injuries managed to keep the team afloat for a potential playoff push midway through last year.
Despite falling short, it was enough for a hungry fanbase to be satisfied and hopeful heading into next season. Arizona fans have learned to be hesitant with its expectations. But, with the signings that general manager Monti Ossenfort has made thus far this offseason, it’s becoming a reality that the franchise is a serious contender for a playoff push.
The NFC West is wide open with massive changes throughout the division. The Cardinals can swoop in and win the division for the first time since 2015. Fans around the Valley can feel that which explains the surge in season tickets, as they want to witness something special with the Cardinals inside the Red Sea in State Farm Stadium.
