Before the Arizona Cardinals (2-10) face the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4) on Dec. 3, both teams have released their first injury reports ahead of their Week 13 battle.
Did Not Participate: wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel), cornerback Antonio Hamilton (groin), tight end Trey McBride (groin), cornerback Starling Thomas V (ankle), safety Jalen Thompson (ribs) and wide receiver Michael Wilson (shoulder).
Limited Practice Participant: safety Joey Blount (knee), defensive tackle Kevin Strong (knee) and offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson (neck).
Full Practice Participant: N/A
Even though he ended up playing against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 26, Brown has been dealing with a heel issue for the past two weeks.
Furthermore, Hamilton had an interception that led to his injury against the Houston Texans on Nov. 19, and it continues to keep him on the sidelines.
As a shock, McBride did not participate in today’s practice with a groin injury.
However, it is unknown when McBride suffered this setback or if it was in the game against the Rams.
So far, McBride has quickly became a fan-favorite this season as he has played in all 12 games, gathered 48 receptions for 521 yards and scored a touchdown.
Did Not Participate: wide receiver Allen Robinson (rest, foot), wide receiver Calvin Austin (ankle), cornerback Patrick Peterson (rest), guard Isaac Seumalo (rest) and defensive tackle Cam Heyward (rest, groin).
Limited Practice Participant: N/A
Full Practice Participant: quarterback Kenny Pickett (ankle), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) and defensive tackle Montravius Adams (ankle).
In his first season as a Steeler, ex-Cardinal CB Patrick Peterson took a rest day and did not participate in Pittsburgh’s first practice of the week.
This year, Peterson has started in 10-of-11 games for Pittsburgh while having an interception and 30 tackles.
Previously, Arizona’s fifth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft spent eight seasons in the desert.
Peterson amassed 28 interceptions for 251 yards, recorded a return touchdown, forced two fumbles, had two sacks and a combined total of 499 tackles during his time with the Cardinals.
Furthermore, their No. 1 quarterback in Pickett has been dealing with discomfort in his ankle, but was fully involved in their Wednesday session.
There is still two more days of practices and the lists are subject to change.
On Sunday, the official game statuses of injured players will be released.
