The Arizona Cardinals are only days away from training camp and with it comes a new set of expectations.
Rookies and veterans will report for Cardinals training camp on Tuesday, July 23. Camp will be held at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. It marks the first training camp Kyler Murray will compete in since tearing his ACL.
1.) Where does Marving Harrison Jr. fit in: The rookie wideout represents the promise of an explosive offense when combined with Murray's playmaking ability. He will have to fit in quickly. Harrison has the talent to be a No. 1 wide receiver on day one. His pairing with Murray will define how well the Cardinals' offense competes with opposing teams in what will be a tough NFC West division.
2.) How good will Kyler Murray be: Does he still have the magic? He has to if the Cardinals want to be competitive in the 2024 season. Training camp will be his first opportunity to prove that. Murray earned back-to-back Pro Bowl nods in 2020-2021, and some of his teammates believe he can return to that level after going through the offseason program.
3.) What happens with the RB: James Conner is coming off a career year in 2023. The Cardinals need him to back up that play. In April the Cardinals spent a third-round pick on Trey Benson, who rushed for 1,896 yards and 23 touchdowns over his last two seasons at Florida State. How many touches will Benson get within the offense? All of those questions will be answered int he coming days.
