As the Arizona Cardinals get set to face the Dallas Cowboys in their next preseason matchup, they have already released news surrounding Carson Beck ahead of the game.
As Beck continues to recover from a rib injury, it has been announced that he is unlikely to play Saturday night.

Beck had a standout start against the Carolina Panthers in the Hall of Fame Game as he completed 15-of-19 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown. Outside of what came up on the stat sheet, he also showed accuracy, anticipation, and composure that gave him upside heading into the 2026 NFL season.
This led to Beck having momentum exiting the game that he could end up competing directly with Jacoby Brissett for the starting job, but that hype has now slowed down due to the injury.
With Arizona still having Gardner Minshew behind Brissett, there isn’t any reason to rush Beck back and risk a severe injury. For now, the focus will be on Beck getting healthy and earning valuable practice repetitions back that he hasn’t been able to fully get.
