Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is pulling out all the stops to ensure Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the top venue for the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
It has already been confirmed that Atlanta will host eight World Cup matches this summer. Although the city has a little over a month to get set for this massive event, Blank claims Atlanta is already prepared for the chaos.
"I know our stadium is ready. I mean, I can give you 100% assurance of that," Blank told CBS News Atlanta. "And I think the city is ready, we've had great commitments from the mayor, from the governor, from everybody involved, all the agencies, etc. There's been a tremendous amount of planning that's taken place over the last several years to make this a reality."
In an effort to maximize the fan experience, Blank said Atlanta won't raise prices for the World Cup.
"Fans give us their energy, their time, their passion, their resources, their families, whatever it may be, and we need to honor that in the truest sense of the word, whatever we can," Blank told WSB-TV Atlanta. "We can’t always control what happens on the field, what happens on the pitch, but we can control the fan experience."
Concession prices at American venues aren't always fan-friendly, but Mercedes-Benz Stadium does a great job of offering food and drinks at affordable prices.
A hot dog and soda only costs $5 at the home of the Atlanta Falcons. That's not bad considering the current state of the world.
Here are some of the other affordable options at the stadium:
Hopefully, soccer fans thoroughly enjoy their time in Atlanta this summer.
