Two-time Super Bowl champion Asante Samuel added another target to his ongoing social media feuds, Shannon Sharpe. The former New England Patriots' cornerback engaged in a heated discussion with Deion Sanders over the weekend after the latter criticized the "T-Step," a technique Samuel relied on during his NFL career.
When Sanders said he would be mad if his players used that movement, which consists of stepping forward before planting with the other foot to get into a break, Samuel took issue with that.
After Samuel brought up his numbers and compared them to Sanders' stats, Sharpe sided with the coach.
“You’re not in [Prime] Time’s realm,” Sharpe said on Monday. “Nobody will ever say Asante Samuel and Deion Sanders in the same breath.”
Sharpe used Darrelle Revis' career as an example that tape is often more important than stats. Samuel clapped back at the former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens tight end with a message on X.
"That’s your problem pimp, you are also brainwashed @ShannonSharpe I’m not worried about what everyone perceives to be true, like yourself. I stand on facts and you’ve yet to talk about facts. You can easy be manipulated just like everyone has because of marketing. I bet you won’t debate me. Big facts!!!"

Sharpe's co-host Chad Johnson had a more neutral take, saying that different techniques help players with different skillsets. Sanders and Samuel were successful in the league, as they both won two Super Bowl rings.
This discussion has taken a turn that not many saw coming, but when two greats clash, either on or off the field, things get intense.
