Amid all the excitement surrounding the introduction of Matt Ryan as the Atlanta Falcons next President of Football, the team also hinted at the arrival of new jerseys coming in 2026, with the unveiling slated for April.
The Falcons recently underwent a full uniform change back in 2020, and it was not exactly met with rave reviews. In essentially every season since, fans have been clamoring for something better. Not only do the Falcons current threads leave a lot to be desired visually, but Atlanta’s play in them has been totally uninspiring. Since the change, the Falcons own a record of 33 wins compared to 51 losses.
The fan base may not be united on much. Some thought Raheem Morris or Terry Fontenot deserved another year. Some are already ready to move on from Michael Penix Jr. as well. But everybody agrees on one thing: the Falcons next uniforms need to feature some iteration of the throwbacks that are among the most beautiful combinations in all of sports.
My hope is the #Falcons do what the Browns, Bucs, Jets, Chargers, etc. recently did with their uniforms in re-designing and going back to their best looks.
Just do this

The new Atlanta Falcons uniforms should be the throwbacks with a new logo. That’s all they have to do. Please don’t mess this up again. #DirtyBirds pic.twitter.com/bEDZogu2s8

Deion Sanders said it best, “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good.”
The Falcons throwbacks are nothing short of perfect, and their record in those uniforms speaks to the words of Sanders. Atlanta is 16-3 in these uniforms dating back to 2009.
Do the right thing, Falcons, and give the fans — and the players — what they want.
