The Atlanta Falcons still need to address the wide receiver room this offseason, especially after releasing Darnell Mooney . Although Atlanta signed Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus as stop gaps, both receivers were not productive with their respective teams last year. Dotson logged just 262 yards, and Zaccheaus only 313 yards. Additionally, the Falcons could use a return specialist after moving on from Jamal Agnew in December.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Falcons will host former USC and Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch for a pre-draft visit. He is an explosive receiver and return specialist, highlighted by his 4.35-second 40-yard dash, primarily operating in the slot, logging 78% of his snaps there, and a weapon after the catch with 1,275 yards after the catch. However, most of Branch’s production in college has come from behind or near the line of scrimmage, with a limited route tree.

Zachariah Branch transferred to the Georgia Bulldogs in 2025 after spending his first two seasons with the USC Trojans. He enjoyed a breakout junior campaign, setting career highs while leading the team in receiving, leading the SEC in receptions, and earning Second-Team All-SEC honors. Branch hauled in 81 passes for 811 yards and six touchdowns, along with 15 punt returns for 180 yards, and 10 kick returns for 205 yards. He posted two drops, recorded 634 yards after the catch, averaged 7.8 yards after the catch per reception, and totaled 538 yards on 67 receptions that came either beyond the line of scrimmage or under ten yards, with 51% of his routes being screens.
Branch wrapped up his three-year college career, totaling 159 receptions for 1,634 yards and nine touchdowns, along with 44 punt returns for 586 yards and one touchdown, and 39 kick returns for 752 yards and one touchdown. He posted eight drops, gained 1,275 yards after the catch while averaging 8.0 yards after the catch per reception, and 1,070 yards on 92 receptions came under ten yards.
“Slot receiver who can turn routine touches into explosive gains. Georgia prioritized quick touches at or behind the line of scrimmage to take advantage of Branch’s ability to slip tackles and add yards after catch. I expect to see more choice routes and deep crossers rolled into his workload as a pro.
“His routes are rushed and rounded, though. He will jump unnecessarily to make catches, which subjects him to added punishment from defenders. Branch is strong for his size and very tough. He could be pigeon-holed into a “manufactured touch” role, but he’s capable of more. He should help move the sticks and return punts before eventually settling in as a starting slot.”
He projects as a plus starter
