The jury is still very much out on the Raheem Morris era with the Atlanta Falcons, and this regime has a long list of questions they are going to need to answer, and quickly. That includes whether quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is the quarterback of the future or not. It feels like this team is going to get one more chance to prove that this team is on a solid trajectory, or if change is needed.
If that is the ideology, the Falcons would be best served to add as much talent this offseason as possible. It’ll give them a very good sample size to determine just how good this team can become, or whether they should move forward. That was the priority in this latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft, adding as many difference makers even with a small amount of draft capital.
The Falcons need a true difference maker on the second level of their defense, and they got one with Allen. While some might overlook him due to his squatter frame and ordinary upside in pass coverage, you are looking at a rangier modern MIKE linebacker with worlds of potential. If he somehow makes it to this spot, sprint the card to the podium.
Georgia LB CJ Allen is a Roquan Smith clone… densely built, notable range, and hit power. Really, really good football player. pic.twitter.com/1vbPEr9Ndx

You won’t find many more tenacious and physical cornerbacks in the 2026 class than Lee. A press man cornerback by trade, the former Kansas State transfer loves to be aggressive. That can be his biggest weakness at times, but you live with it due to his competitiveness and ball skills.
If not for some background questions that Trigg will need to answer, he could very well go much higher just based on raw talent. He’s an explosive athlete with an absurd catch radius. If Trigg is focused, he has the talent to become a plus starter on the NFL level as a detached passing game weapon.
Baylor TE Michael Trigg (#1) has had a bizarre CFB journey but he finally started to flash his upside in 2024. Freaky athlete with a long frame (6’ 3 3/8”, 250 LBs, 34 1/2” arms, 84 1/2” wingspan).

You aren’t drafting him to block. You’re drafting him to make explosive plays. pic.twitter.com/JVujxpL8ei
A big brute in the run game, Roberts has some of the best moments you will see on film in that area. He has just been such an inconsistent player during his career in terms of technique. If Roberts can land with a good offensive line coach and can stay healthy, he has a chance to develop nicely.
The former Utah standout transferred to BYU this past offseason, but hasn’t quite made the splash many had hoped for. There isn’t anything flashy about his game, but what Tanuvasa does as a player is very valuable. It wouldn’t shock me to see him stick for a while as a solid depth piece.
Former Utah DT Keanu Tanuvasa (#57) has impressive quickness for his size, and underrated pop in his hands. Gives me a lot of Harrison Phillips vibes stylistically. Potential top 100 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
