AT&T Stadium Makes Decision On Roof For 'Monday Night Football'

The Dallas Cowboys aren't letting some mechanical difficulties get in the way of leaving the AT&T Stadium roof open for tonight's game on "Monday Night Football."

Last month, the team attempted to open the roof before its primetime matchup vs. the Texans but it caused large pieces of sheet metal to fall to the field. The Cowboys said a covering lid was torn loose by pregame weather damage.

Thankfully nobody was hurt and Dallas ended up playing Houston with the roof closed. But owner Jerry Jones got mercilessly  roasted on social media for what transpired.

Fans reacted to the news online.

"Fingers crossed this one works out!" RJ Ochoa replied.

"Wish I could be there!" a user commented.

"It should be a crime to leave this roof shut," another said.

"Are we sure the stadium won't fall apart this time?" a fan asked.

"Roof in one piece? Won't have to worry about windows for this one."

"HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THE ROOF BEING OPEN," another person sweated.

"Surely a large piece of metal won't fall right?" another user posted.

The Cowboys haven't played an open roof game since 2022 and the team owns a 2-5 record under the Arlington sky.

Dallas will look to make it three straight wins with a victory over Joe Burrow and Bengals on the " MNF" stage. A feat that would likely save Mike McCarthy's job and earn him at least another year with the franchise.
