We noted that, after Day 3 of practices, the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp could be closed to the public on Friday, July 25, due to inclement weather.
On Friday morning, the team officially sent a message to fans via the Chiefs Mobile App, stating that they are closing Day 4 of practice at Missouri Western State University to the public due to bad weather and flooding in the St. Joseph, Missouri area. This message was sent to fans shortly before the start of practice at 9:15 a.m. CT. They received the following notice on their mobile devices and emails:
"Due to inclement weather, today's practice has moved indoors and is no longer open to the public. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you would like to attend Training Camp on a different day, please visit 'My Chiefs Account' to secure your spot."
This message is likely something preset, as fans will be much dismayed to learn the Chiefs are currently practicing outdoors, at least during warm-ups for the time being. They will move indoors if there is lightning in the area. This decision was likely made due to the waterlogged and muddy areas creating unsafe conditions for fans in attendance.
As always, we'll keep you updated on practice from the media members who are still permitted to attend.

Today's practice is expected to be a light 10-10-10 practice ahead of the team's off day on Saturday, July 26, and the first day of padded practices on Sunday, July 27. If you're unfamiliar with Andy Reid's 10-10-10 practices, here's a brief description:
"The '10-10-10' specifically refers to the team cycling through 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive plays and 10 minutes of special teams work during the duration of the practice session. These typically only encompass 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 team drills and involve some element of play/concept installation."
