The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the 2025 season with optimism, beginning with a strong 6-2 start and aspirations of returning to the playoffs after a wild card round exit in 2024. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was a central figure in that early surge, but injuries and inconsistency hampered Tampa Bay’s momentum.

The Bucs ultimately finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs, losing seven of their last nine games, including a four-game losing streak in December that ultimately cost them a division title and a postseason berth. Despite flashes of dominance early on, Tampa Bay slipped in the NFC South standings and couldn’t sustain its early promise, leaving Mayfield and the organization evaluating where they stand heading into the offseason.

Mayfield put together a solid statistical campaign in his third season as the Buccaneers’ starter. He completed 343 of 543 passes (63.2%) for 3,693 yards with 26 touchdowns in 17 games, although he also recorded 11 interceptions.

Fresh off that disappointing campaign, Mayfield has shifted some of his focus to life off the field. On Thursday, he announced a new partnership with men’s personal care brand Every Man Jack, headlining the company’s “For Men Who Put in the Work” campaign.

The quarterback revealed the collaboration in an Instagram video ad, with the caption: “Toughness. Effort. Hard work. That’s my standard. So I’m excited to team up with Every Man Jack for a partnership that’s all about turning grit into a routine.”

Every Man Jack recently revealed a brand transformation and Premium Collection initiative centered on durability, performance and daily discipline, values the company believes align with Mayfield’s approach to football and life. The partnership positions Mayfield as a face of the brand’s message about consistency and work ethic.

In an exclusive interview with People, Mayfield discussed the adversity he has faced throughout his career and the reason for the brand’s latest campaign.

“My whole life story, I've had to work for everything I've had, between being under-recruited in high school, to walking on twice… understanding that you have to put the work in to get results,” Mayfield said. “That's the message that we're trying to get across… That hit at home already, and then obviously, just when it comes to the self-care aspect, making sure that I'm fresh and look good.”

After a disappointing last several weeks on the field, Mayfield will hope both himself and the Buccaneers can come back stronger and challenge for the Super Bowl next season.
