Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham respond to Gregg Williams saying OBJ is not dynamic

Odell Beckham Jr. got the last laugh in his war of words with New York Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, but the Cleveland Browns star chose to take the high road after his team’s 23-3 win — sort of.

Beckham said last week that some of his Browns teammates told him Williams instructed them to injure Beckham during a preseason game in 2017. Williams, who was infamously at the center of the New Orleans Saints’ bounty scandal, denied the allegations and took exception to a reporter calling Beckham “one of the most dynamic players in the league.” Williams made it clear he doesn’t feel that way and noted that the New York Giants obviously don’t, either.

After Beckham caught six passes for 161 yards and a touchdown on Monday night, he was asked about Williams’ latest comments. He pretended he didn’t know who Williams was at first, but he then called him a “phenomenal coach.”
