Before a Monday night matchup against the Houston Texans on Sept. 15, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield knew he was up against a stout challenge against pass rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
"Anytime you play a team like this that has two bona fide studs on the edge, you game plan for them," Mayfield said before the game. "You understand that the protection on some things -- when you're trying to push the ball down the field -- you're going to need extra guys in there, whether it's a chip block or different things like that, double-teams. So you know where they're at at all times."
Mayfield was up to the challenge and then some on Monday night. He led the Buccaneers offense to two straight scoring drives to start the game as Tampa Bay took a 14-10 lead into halftime.
Houston battled back, though, eventually taking a 19-14 lead with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter. That's when Mayfield took over.
The Buccaneers star quarterback led an 11-play, 80-yard touchdown drive as Tampa Bay running back Rachaad White scored the go-ahead touchdown with just six seconds left on the clock.
After the game the NFL's official X - formerly Twitter - account posted a video with a message from Mayfield who said, "Got another win, doesn't have to be pretty. Monday night football, though, onto the next."

He finished the night completing 25-of-38 passing for 215 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding another 33 yards on the ground - including a 15-yard scramble on a fourth-and-long in the final drive.
Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers will be back out on the field for a battle against the winless New York Jets on Sept. 21.
