Baltimore Ravens’ Zay Flowers Sends Bold Message Before 2024 Season
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are heading into the 2024 NFL season with massive expectations. After making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game last year, they are expecting to get back to that game and win it. Nothing short of making it to the Super Bowl would be acceptable for this team.

One of the biggest problems for the Ravens in that game against the Kansas City Chiefs last year was the fact that they kept beating themselves. Zay Flowers had two rough moments in the game that were pivotal mistakes.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, Flowers is ready to take out his regrets on the field.

Baltimore Ravens’ Zay Flowers Sends Bold Message Before 2024 Season

Flowers still thinks about the AFC Championship Game and the mistakes he made. He’s ready to work harder than ever to rebound from those mistakes and help his team find even more success in 2024.

In a recent quote, shared by Pro Football Talk, Flowers sent out a bold message ahead of the upcoming campaign.

“Honestly, I still [haven’t] gotten over it. I still think about it, but I know next year, we have a chance to get back there and try to make it to the Super Bowl, so that’s why I’m working every day and going hard every day to get back to that moment.”

While the Ravens would love to have that game back, they’ve learned from their mistakes. That alone will be a valuable experience for the upcoming 2024 season.

Speaking of Flowers, he came on strong during his rookie season with Baltimore. He ended the season with 77 receptions for 858 yards and five touchdowns. During the postseason, he caught nine passes for 156 yards and a touchdown.

At 23 years of age, Flowers is saying all the right things after that kind of disappointment. Many players would get down on themselves after making such crucial mistakes in such a big game.

Baltimore did get aggressive during the NFL offseason this year. Their biggest move was signing superstar free agent running back Derrick Henry. That move alone gives them a much higher ceiling for the upcoming season.

With an improved running game and an aerial attack that is still very dangerous, the Ravens are going to be a strong contender. Lamar Jackson is still leading the way and Flowers will be an even better receiver. Things are looking up for Baltimore, even so soon after such a massive disappointment.

Expect to see Flowers make good on his message. He’s going to do everything in his power to help his team get to the Super Bowl. Flowers is an elite talent and we’re expecting to see even more from him in 2024.
