Barstool contributor names Steelers' T.J. Watt sixth-best player for 2022 season

The Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback situation is a concern for many as it pertains to the 2022 NFL season and, maybe, the franchise's long-term future. While nobody can say, for sure, who will be under center for the Steelers in Week 1, it's a safe bet the club will feature a dominant pass-rusher this fall.

Steelers All-Pro edge-rusher and reigning Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt could be considered a betting favorite to set at least a couple of new league records during the upcoming campaign. Watt may even earn some Most Valuable Player votes when all is said and done, especially if Pittsburgh qualifies for the playoffs with either Mitchell Trubisky or rookie Kenny Pickett serving as the club's QB1.

For a piece published on Friday, Steven Cheah of Barstool Sports named Watt as the league's sixth-best overall player for 2022.

"T.J. Watt has increased his sack total in each of his first five seasons," Cheah noted. "It'll be tough to do next season as Watt just set the single-season sack record with 22.5. And I don't want to hear any of this 17-game season stuff, because the guy only played in 15 games!"

Cheah ranked Los Angeles Rams defensive superstar Aaron Donald No. 1. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is second on the list, followed by Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.
