The Bears announced on Saturday that they have placed LT Braxton Jones on IR and elevated Marcus Davenport and Nick McCloud from the practice squad.

Jones, 27, is a former fifth-round pick by the Bears in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Southern Utah.

He was in the final year of a four-year, $3,959,552 rookie contract and became an unrestricted free agent in 2026. 

However, Jones re-signed with the Bears on a one-year deal back in March.

In 2026, Jones has appeared in three games for Chicago, starting all three at left tackle.
