Chicago Bears wideout DJ Moore made his weekly appearance on the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday.
Among the topics he discussed was teammate Tyrique Stevenson's boneheaded actions before and during the Washington Commanders' game-winning Hail Mary in Chicago's 18-15 defeat on Sunday.
The cornerback spent the moments leading up to the snap (and the first few seconds of Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels' scrambling) taunting Washington fans in the crowd on the other side of the field. Stevenson then sprinted over after realizing the play had started, made it to the center of the action, leaped and tipped the ball up into the air before it fell into the hands of wideout Noah Brown in the end zone.

The second-year pro apologized for his actions on Sunday night.
To Chicago and teammates my apologies for lack of awareness and focus …. The game ain’t over until zeros hit the clock. Can’t take anything for granted. Notes taken, improvement will happen. #Beardown

Moore — who is one of the Bears captains — said that he and the other captains will be discussing Stevenson's situation in the near future.
He said that he didn't see Stevenson's actions as the play unfolded, but saw it "just how everybody else has seen it (on social media)."
"The captains were talking about how we need to really address that. I saw that he put something out that he was sorry, but we’ve still got to address it as a leadership group in front of the team," Moore said. "I don’t know (what the punishment will be), that’s not up for us to do. ... But we can address it as captains, and upstairs will have to do what they’re going to do."
The 2018 first-round pick added that it's a "lesson learned, for sure" for Stevenson, but "he won't do that again."
"But if you bench him it’s just like, that one play — it’s a big play — but that one play doesn’t define him as a player," Moore said.
