Bears CB Tyrique Stevenson Downgraded to Questionable for Thursday Night Football
Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears will host the Carolina Panthers in primetime on Thursday night at Soldier Field. Although the matchup has more implications on early order of the upcoming NFL Draft than the NFL Playoff picture, both teams are still trying to win. As for the Bears, they already have their backs against the wall. Tyson Bagent is making his fourth straight start for the team after Justin Fields was ruled out. And although head coach Matt Eberflus announced that with a plethora of word spaghetti, that was the big news on Wednesday.

Nonetheless, the Bears are now at risk to be without a player they were supposed to have entering Thursday night. According to the Bears PR team, rookie cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is now questionable after originally being listed as active entering Thursday.

Stevenson snuck onto the injury report in Week 10, but was a full participant in practice all week. Although he was listed with an ankle injury, the Bears listed him as "good to go" as of Wednesday. Now, it appears something changed in the last 24 hours resulting in the downgrade.

At this point, Stevenson is effectively a gametime decision. If he cannot go, the Bears will be reaching into their depth for the third corner spot. Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon are healthy for Week 10, but with Stevenson potentially out and rookie Terell Smith already ruled out, it'll come down to the team's depth to fill in behind the starters.
