Bears Final Injury Report Week 9: Game Status
Mike Dinovo-Imagn Images

After a massive win in Seattle, the Chicago Bears turn their attention to Week 9, when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chicago completed its sweep of last season’s Super Bowl teams and now faces a desperate NFC South team trying to claw its way into the division lead. The Bears face a similar dilemma, sitting 1.5 games back of the division lead.

For the third consecutive game, the Bears will play in prime time, as two former No. 1 overall picks, Baker Mayfield and Caleb Williams, square off. The Bears, though, appear to have a bigger story brewing than their dynamic quarterback. Their biggest trade acquisition made his debut in Week 8 and wrecked the Seahawks’ offense. Now, some might wonder whether this is finally Chicago’s year.

Both teams are dealing with key injuries that affect their offenses. Tampa Bay hopes to get Emeka Egbuka back this week, while the Bears hope Kyle Monangai can return soon as well. The practice reports are rolling in and offer a clearer outlook on these injuries.

Here is the final injury report for the Bears ahead of their Week 9 battle against the Buccaneers:

Who’s In, Who’s Out?

The Bears received several encouraging updates heading into Week 9, with Grady Jarrett, Benedet, Jackson and Thuney all finishing Friday as full participants. Edwards also practiced fully for a second consecutive day after missing Wednesday for personal reasons.

However, Monangai remains questionable after missing the past three games before returning in a limited capacity Friday. Muhammad and Stevenson are also questionable, leaving Chicago potentially shorthanded in its secondary against Tampa Bay. The availability of all three will be worth monitoring heading into Sunday’s matchup.
