Bears given blunt reality check ahead of Packers showdown

The Chicago Bears are making their final preparations for a huge Week 16 matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday Night Football.

After losing to the Packers just two short weeks ago at Lambeau Field, the Bears have a lot to play for this week. Right now, they hold a lead in the NFC North division, but if they lose to Green Bay on Saturday evening, they lose that lead.

Not only would Chicago lose the NFC North division lead with a loss, the team would also be behind the Packers in a head-to-head tiebreaker.

Obviously, there is a lot on the line for the Bears this week. Hopefully, Caleb Williams and company are ready to play and can pull off a massive statement win.

With that being said, ESPN Green Bay reporter Rob Demovsky has issued a blunt reality check to Chicago.

“There is a TON OF PRESSURE on the Bears,” he said.

Demovsky is not wrong. A loss would seriously hurt the Bears’ chances of winning the division and could impact their ability to get into the playoffs. It would certainly start making Ben Johnson and the rest of the team feel pressure heading into the final two weeks of the season.

After playing the Packers this week, Chicago will finish out the season with matchups a road game against the San Francisco 49ers and a home matchup against the Detroit Lions. Both of those games will be difficult to win.

With that being said, the stage has been set for the Bears and Green Bay to face off on Saturday. Both teams badly need a win with the NFC North division title on the line. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Saturday night and fans will be able to watch it on Fox.
