USC quarterback Caleb Williams has been projected to be the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft for some time now. The Chicago Bears were lucky enough to merit the No. 1 pick in the draft for the second year straight and the growing narrative is Williams coming to the Windy City.
The USC product is making the rounds visiting all the teams he plans on meeting with. Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus are undoubtedly meeting with Williams at Halas Hall to show him around the facilities and get him excited about coming to Chicago.
The 22-year-old phenom visited Halas Hall on Wednesday, as expected. According to NFL Insider, Ian Rapoport, Caleb Williams was also in Chicago on Tuesday night having dinner.
Williams's visit to Halas Hall may only be a formality but the probability of the Bears selecting him with the No. 1 pick is growing. The hopeful feeling is palpable and for fans, the next level of modern NFL offenses is something they haven't seen in Chicago.
It's an exciting time to be a Chicago fan and as Kirk Herbstreit put it, you better get on the Bears right now.
