The Chicago Bears offensive line became further depleted Sunday against the Green Bay Packers as guard Ryan Bates exited early with an injury. While the specific injury wasn't disclosed, Bates was ruled out after the Bears said he was being evaluated for a concussion.

It's a tough break for Bates, who only played in two games this season entering Week 11. The Bears traded for Bates this past offseason, hoping to start him at either center or offensive guard.
Jake Curhan entered the game in Bates' place. Curhan struggled at offensive tackle in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals but could be more capable on the interior, where he won't be asked to play on an island.
