The Chicago Bears may be without David Montgomery during Week 10 against NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.
Bears head coach Matt Nagy confirmed Monday that the running back suffered a concussion in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans and now is in the NFL's concussion protocol.
Nagy reveals that #Bears RB David Montgomery suffered a concussion in Tennessee and is in concussion protocol, and DB Sherrick McManis sustained a broken index finger.

Montgomery suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. He finished with 14 carries for 30 yards and three catches for 12 yards. The 23-year-old is the Bears' leading rusher this season with 131 carries for 472 yards.
If Montgomery is ruled out against the Vikings, converted wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson would likely be in line to take his place. He ran three times for 13 yards on Sunday and is averaging three yards per carry this season.
The only other running backs on the Bears' roster are Ryan Nall and undrafted rookie Artavis Pierce. Chicago also has former Pro Bowler Lamar Miller on their practice squad.
