The Chicago Bears officially signed running back Roschon Johnson on Monday to a four-year contract. With only Gervon Dexter Sr. and Tyrique Stevenson left, the Bears have signed nearly their entire 2023 draft class.
The Texas product nearly rushed for 2,200 yards in four seasons with the Longhorns, while sitting behind Bijan Robinson as well. Roschon Johnson also joins a crowded Chicago Bears' backfield with Khalil Herbert, D'Onta Foreman, and Travis Homer.
But he could find a way onto the Bears' roster and put his 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame to work.
Johnson is a physical running back. According to ButkusStats, he's a running back that wants to go through tackles not around them. The Bears could use a running style like that in addition to an improved passing game.
