Bad day to be an empty non-football injury list.
On Saturday, the Chicago Bears placed four players on the non-football injury list: cornerback Jaylon Johnson, running back Ian Wheeler, quarterback Case Keenum, and wide receiver Jahdae Walker (undrafted free agent), per Adam Schefter.

Placement on the NFI list does not necessarily point to a serious injury, just one that occurred off the football field. Early speculation is that Johnson's status should clear up sooner rather than later. However, there is no concrete evidence to support this, and Johnson does have a history of injuries. Despite only being 24 years old, the veteran CB has missed games in four of his five seasons in Chicago . We’ll gain more clarity on the situation for all four players on Tuesday, when head coach Ben Johnson and general manager Ryan Poles will address the media.
Until then, Bear Down.
