It appears the Bears have an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak at Halas Hall. On Wednesday afternoon, the team placed starting right tackle Larry Borom on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Borom joins Mario Edwards Jr. and Eddie Goldman on the COVID-19 list, so the Bears might have a problem.

The bright side of this unfortunate news is that Borom is fully vaccinated, according to Bears insider Adam Hoge. He is still in danger of missing the Monday night game against the Vikings, but there is a possibility for him to suit up. He needs negative results from two COVID-19 tests and must not show any symptoms before that idea can even be entertained.

The NFL has seen an increasing number of players test positive for COVID-19 over the last few days. There appears to be a league-wide issue and the NFL has already had discussions about changing the protocols.

The above report from Adam Schefter came on Tuesday night and teams added even more players to the list since. The Bears are already in enhanced COVID-19 protocols and they might have an outbreak amongst their organization. Placing Larry Borom on the Reserve/COVID-19 list is just another obstacle for them to hurdle as they sprint toward another disappointing end to an underwhelming season.
