The Chicago Bears released the full 2025 schedule on Wednesday, and it's one that is filled with tons of marquee matchups and big stage opportunities for this young team.
Games against the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, and the Green Bay Packers stand out as highly anticipated matchups for a Bears' squad looking to prove themselves under a new coaching staff.
The regular season will kick off at Solider Field going up against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. It'll mark the regular season debut for Bears' head coach Ben Johnson and Vikings' quarterback J.J. McCarthy, so there's plenty of storylines.
Overall, there's a lot of key takeaways from the schedule release, but it wasn't just the regular season games at were announced.

During the regular season release, the Bears also announced the three preseason games that will take place prior to Week 1.
In 2024, the Bears played four preseason games, including the Hall of Fame Game against the Houston Texans, and went 4-0 heading into the regular season.

The 2025 pull of teams is going to be some fun opponents that the team should be used to facing in the preseason. In each of the last two seasons, the Bears and Bills faced each other in the regular season, 2025 marks the third meeting in three years.
And 2025's preseason game against the Chiefs marks the third time in four years the two sides have faced off against each other.
Opening the preseason at home against the Dolphins will be big for Ben Johnson and the Bears' fanbase, since this will technically be Johnson's first game as a head coach. Dolphins' quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will likely not play, along with other starters, in this game but we will see a heavy dose of former 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson and rookie Quinn Ewers at quarterback in this one.
As for the Bills game, once again we will see a lot of action from Mitch Trubisky under center for Buffalo going up against the team that drafted him. Facing an experienced quarterback in the preseason will be a big opportunity for some of the younger players on defense.
Last preseason, the Chiefs opted to rest quarterback Patrick Mahomes and will likely follow a similar blueprint later in August. Which means the defense will go up against veteran Gardner Minshew, Bailey Zappe, and Chris Oladokun as the Chiefs look to round out the QB room. Offensively, the Bears will have a tough challenge going up against one of the best defensive play-callers in the league in Steve Spagnuolo.
Overall, it's a solid preseason slate against some experienced coaching staffs for some young players to get some meaningful snaps and for the Bears' new staff to iron out any kinks before the regular season kicks off.
