NFC North race could come down to the Bears and Packers with seven weeks remaining

Looking at the current NFC North standings, the Bears (7-3) are barely ahead of the Packers (6-3-1) with seven weeks left in the regular season.

The Week 14 matchup at Lambeau Field on Dec. 7th will be the first of two games between the two teams within a 13-day span. The two sides will meet again on Saturday, Dec. 20 at Soldier Field in Week 16. However, there's still two more weeks before we can even start thinking about that game.

This weekend, the Bears will host the Pittsburgh Steelers and the following Friday the Bears will travel to take on the defending Super Bowl champs in the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, the Packers will be facing the Minnesota Vikings this weekend and the Detroit Lions the week after (two big divisional games to worry about first).

The last time the Bears and Packers faced off against each other, the Bears pulled off a crazy win at Lambeau Field in Week 18 to conclude the 2024 regular season. The result ultimately mattered little for both teams with the Packers already locked into a playoff spot and the Bears already eliminated.

This time around, both teams are deep in the playoff mix and the standings are highly volatile in the NFC conference. It's no surprise to see the NFL make this decision because this is going to be a massive implication game, not to mention it's the NFL's oldest rivalry. It should be a great one.
