The Chicago Bears once again fell to an NFC North opponent for the second consecutive week, this time to the Minnesota Vikings in overtime, 30-27 at Soldier Field on Sunday.

Chicago was able to force overtime with a Cairo Santos field goal after it recovered an onside kick following a touchdown drive and successful two-point conversion. It took 22 total seconds for the Bears to tie the game.

Earlier in the game — for the second week in a row — Chicago had a field goal blocked, which would have given them the win in the long run.

The Bears even won the coin toss, receiving the ball to begin overtime. However, after a sack for a loss of 12 yards and a five-yard penalty, Chicago failed to convert a first down and ended up punting the ball away.

The Vikings proceeded to go 10 plays for 68 yards, finishing off the win with a 29-yard field goal by John Parker Romo to go 9-2 on the season.

Chicago falls to 4-7 on the year, as looking ahead to 2025 seems to be inevitable at this point.

Caleb Williams made history on Sunday, setting the franchise season rookie passing yards record. It was formerly held by Mitchell Trubisky in 2017. Williams still has five games to go to keep building on it, as he stands at 2,356 yards.

Williams finished the day on Sunday completing 32-for-47 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns. It was the first time the rookie has thrown a touchdown pass since Week 6. He also added six rushes for 33 yards.

DJ Moore hauled in seven catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. Keenan Allen had a season-high day, catching nine passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Cole Kmet was more involved as well, snagging seven catches for 64 yards against Minnesota.

Chicago allowed 452 total yards of offense against the Vikings while putting up 398 yards on their side.

The Bears will be coming off the loss on a short week, as it prepares to head to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions (10-1) on Thanksgiving Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT.
