The Chicago Bears made moves on Monday. However, it wasn't the kind that fans are keeping their eyes out for. Rather than firing head coach Matt Eberflus or offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, the Bears instead made 10 signings on Monday. According to the team, 10 practice squad players have been signed to reserve/future contracts.
The 10 players signed were the following:
All 10 players provide the Bears depth moving into next season on the practice squad. However, most of these names are likely foreign to the casual fan. In fact, most of these names spent the entire season on the team's practice squad.
A number of these players have been on the roster at one point or another as well. Collins spent a lot of time up and down as a depth lineman, Baskerville impressed last preseason, and Colbert was activated on a handful of occasions. That said, these guys will hang around as team depth for the upcoming season.
