Not more than 24 hours removed from their first win of the 2022-23 campaign, the Chicago Bears made a number of roster moves. Among the moves, the team signed DL Mike Pennel back to the active roster, waived OL Lachavious Simmons on his birthday, and signed OL Michael Niese and DE Andre Anthony to the practice squad.

Pennel has had an odd adventure on the roster over the last five days or so. Last week, he was originally released only to be re-signed to the practice squad. Michal Niese was elevated with Pennel ahead of Sunday's game. However, the team has returned him to the practice squad on Monday. In addition, the team added DE Andre Anthony to the practice squad. Anthony was a seventh-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
