The Chicago Bears enter Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals teetering on the edge of disaster.
Following an embarrassing Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders, falling to the Cardinals would mark a serious turning point in the season. The Bears need all hands on deck, but their health is being tested with a plethora of injuries.

It's fitting to have NINE names listed on the Week 9 injury report.
Note that the Bears hosted a walk-through on Wednesday, which isn't a traditional practice. The injury designations for Wednesday are only an estimation.
Tight end Mercedes Lewis (rest) was a full participant Friday and is the only player listed who doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday.
Offensive linemen Kiran Amedadjie (calf) and Braxton Jones (knee) and defensive back Jaquan Brisker (concussion) are out against the Cardinals. All three players failed to log a practice this week.
Brisker will miss his third straight game due to a concussion he suffered in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers. The Bears played the Panthers 26 days ago.
Defensive lineman Montez Sweat (shin) is questionable against Arizona. Sweat regressed from a limited practice Thursday to sitting out Friday, making his status for Sunday look more doubtful than questionable.
Furthermore, offensive linemen Ryan Bates (shoulder) and Teven Jenkins (knee) and defensive back Kyler Gordon (hamstring) are questionable. Bates will be returning from injured reserve and provide much-needed assistance to the interior of the offensive line.
Gordon and Jenkins progressed from sitting out Thursday to limited designations on Friday, which is a positive sign.
See you Sunday.
Bear Down.
